CNG
CNG gas is used as substitute for petrol and diesel for vehicles
CNG or Compressed Natural Gas is almost entirely made of methane CH4. It can be used as a substitute for classic fuels such as diesel or petrol. It is more environmentally friendly as it dissipates as a gas in the event of a spillage. It also produces fare less pollutants as ti has almost no sulfur or other impurities. However it is more volatile than classic fuels and produces about the same amount of carbon dioxide as other fuels.
Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Chemical Structure CH4 (83-99%) (Methane), C2H6 (1-13%) (Ethane) and may also contain Propane and Butane making up less than 5% total weight.
Dedicated natural gas vehicles (NGVs) are designed to run only on natural gas; bi-fuel NGVs have two separate fueling systems that enable the vehicle to use either natural gas or a conventional fuel (gasoline or diesel).
